Important changes have been adopted in the standard DIN VDE 0100-704:2018-10 “Requirements for locations, rooms, and installations of a special nature – construction sites.”The standard came into effect on October 1, 2018, with a transition period until May 18, 2021.Note: There is no grandfathering for existing installations beyond this date!

Since October 2016, the standards DIN VDE 0100-443 and DIN VDE 0100-534 have applied to new as well as modified or extended electrical installations, with a transition period until December 14, 2018. After this date, all new installations must comply with these standards.
